Art of the Guillotine Interviews Adobe’s Al Mooney on the Future of Editing and the Design of Premiere Pro

April 22nd, 2013 / By Angelo Lorenzo / No Comments

AOTG got a hold of Al Mooney durning NAB to discuss how Adobe designed and integrated Premiere Pro’s new features, the usefulness of Adobe Story and the use of a script as metadata, and the future of interactivity with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Edge.

Mr. Mooney touches on some interesting predictions in the future of editing including intelligent, dynamic, content delivery. Is your demographic older men? Then your actor will hold up a bottle of beer. Is your demographic teenagers? Then your character may hold an energy drink. Do you like the actor’s shoes? Then metadata can point you to that product’s online store.

It’s a brief, interesting talk where Mr. Mooney makes one thing certain: the future of content will be shaped by metadata.
